The remedy: Use half the amount of detergent that you normally do, then gradually add the amount if your clothes are not coming out as clean as you would like. Here’s an exception, if you have hard water, you may actually need more soap than you are using.

Metal teeth can catch other pieces of clothing that’s being washed in the same load. An example of these would be clothing deemed delicate such as satin or the woven types.

This may seem like a good idea, but contrary to popular belief this can stress the thread on your buttons and buttonholes. This can and lead to premature poppage and torn buttonholes at the seams. Always take the time to unbutton before putting your clothes in the washer.

Your Washing Machine Isn’t On A Leveled Surface
If your washer is not on a leveled surface, the vibrations can damage your floor and prematurely wear out key components in your machine.Such as the tub bearings and shock absorbers. Adjust the feet when it’s not leveled, this typically screws up and down, accordingly. If this doesn’t help, Add the floor with a ¾-inch-thick piece of plywood that’s a little larger than the machine’s base. It will help absorb the vibrations.

Here’s a tip: To let your socks stay together always, place them in the washer tub first. This will result in them less likely to attach themselves to other garments and then disappear.
